41-LOVE BABA TO LOVE GOD

41-LOVE BABA TO LOVE GOD

Baba said- Love God to become God. I am God personified so in order to love God Love Me. In event you love Baba (God), you love the whole mankind, because Avatar & Sadguru has the universal body (embodying the whole universe in one body)

In Babas words

Love in common sense means caring and support for family and close relations. The more we move away from close to distant relation the felling of caring and support diminishes. If one says he loves is wife which is the closest relationship it would be for his attraction toward sex and also his selfishness to gain satisfaction for himself. This kind of love for our family and relative of lower order since one’s expectation of some return is always associated. Love for God is a difficult proposition.  First extreme faith for God or Master which comes from one’s heart turns into devotion.  Later Love comes which is defined as desireless devotion.

Everyone now uses the word love; it has been made so very cheap. If one really loves, one would never utter that word. What does it mean to love God? It is a very, very great thing. The true love of God never says anything. He forgets that he loves God.

Love means a life of giving without expectation of receiving any reward. Love means suffering and pain for oneself and happiness for others. To the giver, it is suffering without malice or hatred. To the receiver, it is a blessing without obligation.

“People must give and then receive. First give and then you will have all. But instead, people want to first have all and then think of giving. This is not the right way.” (–www.lordmeher.org, p-2207)

Love for God is a gift from God to man. One cannot love God or a Master without grace of God or Sadguru or Avatar. Love never seeks it knows to give only and be resigned to the will of God.

How will you love God? How should you love God? Not through meditations, not through so-called prayers and other things. There are two ways. One is to leave all and everything. That means to have nothing of your own, not even your body – to renounce absolutely everything. Everything means not only your surroundings but everything, including yourself.

The second thing is something great. There you do not have to renounce anything. You can lead a family life, be in the world, do your work or business, attend to your services, attend theaters, parties, everything. But always do one thing. Constantly think; constantly try to make others happy, even at the cost of your own happiness. That is the second way of loving God. (Lord Meher, 1st. ed., Bhau Kalchuri, Vol. 14, p. 4970).

Baba explained the most practical 8 ways  of loving God

To love God in the most practical way is to love our fellow beings. If we feel for others in the same way as we feel for our own dear ones, we love God.

If instead of seeing faults in others, we look within ourselves, we are loving God.

If instead of robbing others to help ourselves, we rob ourselves to help others, we are loving God.

If we suffer in the suffering of others, and feel happy in the happiness of others, we are loving God.

If instead of worrying over our own misfortunes, we think of ourselves more fortunate than many, many others, we are loving God.

If we endure our lot with patience and contentment, accepting it as His Will, we are loving God.

If we understand and feel that the greatest act of devotion and worship to God is not to hurt or harm any of His beings, we are loving God.

To love God as He ought to be loved, we must live for God and die for God, knowing that the goal of all life is to love God, and find Him as our own Self.
