What is worry

Baba explains “Duality signifies separateness. Separateness implies fear and fear causes worry. The way of oneness is the way to happiness. The way of manyness leads to worries. Worry is the product of a feverish imagination working under stimulus of desires. There are few things that exhaust energy as much as worry. Worry is a serious dissipation of physic energy. Worry accumulates and grows in strength and becomes a habit, long after the original cause has ceased to be.

Why do we worry?

  1. Non-fulfillment of desires and expectations
  2. Unable to bear the sufferings
  3. Lack of faith in God’s will (Only God’s will pervade and everything happens according to will of God and only for our good.)

Why do we pray for any favour?

  1. To seek fulfillment of desires.
  2. To get rid of sufferings

Why should we not worry and pray for any favour?

When Baba (God Personified) is everything and everybody and the doer of everything, then He is responsible for everything good or bad, as such He himself is playing our roles.  As long as we have separate identity other than God, we are responsible for any act of ours. We should only pray for love for God and accept all sufferings and adversities as gift from God.  Whatever good or bad in our life is the result of our past Karma & thereby sanskaras and it is always for our good as destined by God. He always does only what is right and good for us like parents do for their children. We may pray Baba for something which may not be good for us, just like a sick child does not know what is good for him/her and insist parents which are not good.

Above facts are substantiated by Baba in His following words

I am the only One without a second; so I am eternally happy. You are separate from your Self; so you always worry”.

“Waves do not roll or the leaves do not move without my will. The moment the intensity of your faith in my will reaches the apex, you bid adieu to worry for good. Then, all that you suffered and enjoyed in the past, together with all that you may experience in the future, will be to you the most loving and spontaneous expression of My will.”

“Your worldly desires, would be asking Me to do the impossible to undo what I have already ordained. Whatever happens does not happen without My will. Knowingly I allow things to happen in their natural course. It is good to pray. But the prayer that reaches Me is not a long list of your wants. That will never reach Me. You should look upon physical and mental sufferings as gift from God as they bring their own lessons of the futility of the passing and for the intrinsic worth of the Eternal. Uproot all doubts and remember well that whatever I do is for the best.”

When should we pray for favour?

In case of extreme and unbearable suffering, we may pray Baba and seek His blessings to overcome our sufferings. Baba has allowed it in His words saying “When in difficulty you will not ask/pray Me then to whom”. Baba is our Father and Mother both and when a child is in distress he is bound to approach his parents only.

Try not to pray Baba for any favour but for His Love

There is no scope of complaint to Baba (God ) for our sufferings as He himself is behind us. Since we are not conscious of this fact and maintain our individuality, so we are responsible for every act which is the result of our past karmas and sanskarasWe must seek His pure Love which is selfless devotion, which may lead us to attain final goal of realisation by Baba’s (God) grace only.
