YOGA SUMMIT

Definition and different kind of Yoga

“Yoga means annihilation of the Ego by control of senses. Yoga implies separateness

Yoga means poised and balanced so that success or failure does not upset you in the least. You are your own curtain and only when ‘You go’ can you come. The only solution is Love.

If you seek to live perpetually, then crave for the death of your deceptive Self at the hands of complete surrender to the Master. This yoga is the essence of all yogas.

No yogi can gain eternal freedom or emancipation, even though he might have reached the highest yogic state of samadhi through his practices, because sanskaras (bindings) are still there and all ties have not yet been snapped. But the easiest and safest way to lose one's self is by completely surrendering to the Perfect Master.

Prayer and meditation are two sides of the same coin called yoga of silence.

To follow the path of the true yogas (karma, dnyan, raj and bhakti) is the remedy for the uprooting of this heritage of evils derived from past impressions, expressed by constant actions and sustained by the continual formation of new ones.

True Yoga means detachment from world and leading of life of total renunciation or self-abnegation.

Yoga means control, which is more difficult than cutting off your arms and giving up your eye.

When ‘You go’ (annihilated) the love for God the Beloved comes. You come (emerge) as you really are.

In karma yoga one tries to lose ones "self" in selfless service for others; in dnyan yoga one tries to lose one's self in contemplation and meditation. In raj yoga one tries to lose one's identity with the individual self and establish identity with the Universal Self by aiming, through constant mental poise and non-attachment, to be in the world and yet not of it. In bhakti yoga one tries to lose one's self in devotion to God. Even in these yogas, only when the zenith is reached can the individuality of the lower self be lost yet consciousness remains.

Three types of Yogis

  1. Those who long for the Goal and shun powers
  2. Those who long for the Goal and also for powers
  3. Those who do all yogic exercises merely for powers

Yoga in broad sense is path or way to proceed toward God realization. There is only one true yoga-You go

There is only one true yoga and that is 'you go.' The meaning of yoga is as simple as that. I know of no other yoga than “You go.” You are your own curtain, and only when you go can you come. The problem is how will you go? The only solution is love. When you 'go' (annihilated) through love for God the Beloved, you 'come' (emerge) as you really are."

Yoga can bring benefit in physical and mental health, but cannot reach to final state of God-realisation without help of Avatar or Perfect Master

Seeker to progresses on the spiritual path through devotion and Love under the discipleship of a Perfect Master or Avatar gradually goes through all planes and finally gets realisation by his Master. This is easiest, safest and surest path to way of God realisation which is the final goal of every human soul.

A yogi with his own effort (without help of Perfect Master) can rise spiritually up to 6 th plane of consciousness but cannot go beyond that unless he comes in contact of a Avatar or Master  who is God-realised. For instance:

Shri Aurobindo.  Previously, he was a political leader like Gandhi.  When he got the breeze of spirituality, he left everything.  He did not care for politics.  He did not care for independence of India, and he did not care for the world.  He cared only for God.  And because he got the longing for God, he went on progressing and progressing on the spiritual path.  He progressed up to sixth plane.  But further progress is not possible without the grace of the Perfect Master or the Avatar.  Aurobindo was experiencing the effulgence of God everywhere, and this state was just like that of a 'fish out of water.'  A state of great longing, rather, infinite longing for the union with God.  Ultimately, My grace fell on him, and he became One with God.

Nowadays, there are many yoga ashrams. People think that yogas help in their spiritual progress. Actually, your physical health yoga can help in, but not spiritually. If you come into contact with a real yogi, you can make spiritual progress, but it is very, very difficult. This progress is from the back side, and it is very dangerous.

No one is advised to make an attempt to awaken Kundalini

According to Meher Baba: “Pre-mature awakening of Kundalini is fraught with dangers of self-deception as well as misuse of powers.

The Kundalini enables man consciously to cross the lower planes and it ultimately merges into the Universal Cosmic Power of which it is part. Ordinarily Kundalini is the name of power latent in the individualized soul.

The awakened Kundalini cannot by itself take anyone to seventh plane. When awakened and directed under the guidance of some great yogi, it can give many rare experiences which have both advantages and disadvantages. The awakened Kundalini is helpful only up to certain degree after which it cannot further progress. It cannot dispense with the need for the grace of a Perfect Master.

For one who is in contact with Avatar or Sadguru, yoga is meaningless

When one is in contact with a Sadguru, yoga is meaningless and totally useless. What is the use of fasting for even a hundred years to attain God? What is the use of dying a physical death for God? Just remember My one instruction: remain bowed – submit to My wish. You have to become like the dust beneath My feet.

Do not desires occult powers; they are obstacles on the path. Take a spider, for instance, it is all right as long as it remains still, but the moment it starts weaving a web, it gets so entrapped it cannot free itself. The more it tries, the more it gets entangled, caught in its own web.

KALKI AVATAR

Kalki is the tenth and final form of Vishnu. He is described as riding a white horse, sword in hand. His story appears in Vishnu Purana around the time when Huna warlords overran the north of India somewhere in the latter part of the reign of the Gupta kings. It was elaborated over the next thousand years culminating in the Kalki Purana written about 500 years ago. He is often described as the avatar who is yet to come, after the Buddha. This makes him some kind of a messianic figure, a saviour, who will push back the barbarians and bring back peace and prosperity to the world.

However, this does not align well with Indian philosophy, which is based on change and rebirth. Yes, Vishnu does descend on earth from time-to-time, as Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita, but not to save the world, or to get rid of villains, as is popularly believed, or even to establish justice, but to reinforce the idea of dharma. And dharma is about human potential, the human ability to help the helpless, provide resources for the meek, an idea reinforced in the first avatar of Vishnu, the fish avatar, or matsya avatar, when Vishnu takes the shape of a small fish and asks Manu, father of humanity, to save him from the big fish.

So why does Vishnu, who speaks of compassion in his first avatar, take the form of a destroyer in his final avatar? And is it the final avatar? How can there be something 'final' in a world that is described as eternal and timeless?

For that we have to understand the concept of kalpa: the lifespan of the world. Like humans, the world has a birth, a childhood, a youth, an old age and finally death. So does an idea. So does an organization. Nothing is static, everything is changing. Change demands growth in one's lifetime. Change also demands death of an old idea. Change can also demand the expansion of the mind to include a new idea.

Every world or idea or organization goes through phases. First it is fresh and new, arousing excitement. This is the krita-yuga, the childhood innocence. Then comes the time, when it keeps its promise. When all is well. When hopes are high. This is treta-yuga, when Ram rules, when rules are valued. Then comes the period of decay, when survival is at stake, when the idea struggles to survive. This is dvapar-yuga, when hope fades, when Krishna is needed for rules are no longer valued. Then comes kali-yuga, a time to withdraw from the old idea like Buddha and await the invader, Kalki, who brings new ideas. In this world view, the outsider is celebrated. He helps the insider thrive, prosper and grow by bringing in new ideas, new resources, new processes and ways of thinking.

Kalki needs to be seen differently, not as a messiah or a saviour who restores us back to the old way, but as one who brings in new ideas. And the clue lies in the horse he rides. Horses do not thrive in the Indian subcontinent and have to be continuously imported from Arabia and Central Asia via the North West frontier. The only place they thrived was in Rajputana. The value placed on the horse in Vedic literature, and in votive offerings to brave heroes across the subcontinent, indicates the value placed on these 'imports'. For these represent fresh ideas that help in regeneration of the old.

Often organizations grow complacent with homegrown knowledge. Fat builds up. The body becomes weak and inelastic, full of self-created bureaucratic hurdles that stop it from responding to market realities. It becomes sluggish and starts losing in the market, unable to fight back, becoming prey rather than predator. To shake it up, the invader is needed - a new leader from another industry, a horde of consultants, maybe even a new investor who insists on a role in the management, any outsider who is hungry and can take advantage of the market vacuum. His arrival is violent and frightening. It shakes away the complacency, forces us to revitalize our mind and body, get rid of the fat if we have to survive. He can either invoke a competitive side in us, to fight back, or the collaborative side in us, to work together. Thus the world or idea or organization transforms. The outsider, the invader, is thus seen in a positive light, not as a destroyer of the old, but one who provokes regeneration, who helps in creating the new by reframing the old.

The author writes and lectures on relevance of mythology in management. He is the author of Business Sutra: an Indian approach to management.)

CONCEPT OF BUDDHIST RELIGION

Driven by an incredible metaphysical quest, Prince Siddhartha became an ascetic, adopting an austere lifestyle, trying every possible way in order to attain  Self-realisation. With sustained effort and willpower, enlightenment did come to him one day with perfect luminosity. Being the Buddha, the enlightened one,  he shared the philosophy of his path to those suffering around him, as a means of overcoming suffering. Gautama Buddha’s Middle Path relates more to the middle segment of creation in its present moment than to the so-called theoretical discourse on Creator, genesis and end of creation. He is more suggestive than explicit on the questions that relate to the metaphysical ultimate.

The present life is full of suffering caused by ageing, disease and death, which we know are part of life but yet, we do not strive to rise above them. Even understanding that suffering caused by these calls for a solution is a noble truth. The root cause of suffering lies in craving or attachment with transitory reality. The remedy lies in extinction of the flame of desire for which we need to follow an eightfold path. These constitute the four noble truths for contemplation and action in an adequate manner.

The Buddha’s eightfold path starts with right discernment of the reality behind the superficial apparent. This leads to right intention that is translated into action through right speech and right livelihood. The mystery of life is untied with right effort which consists of right mindfulness or observation of the wheel of karma and universal flux of phenomena. Finally, right contemplation on ultimate emptiness emancipates from the bondage of the cycle of unending misery-go-round.

Behind this deceptively simple teaching lies a profound philosophy on the characteristic of ‘being’. The Buddha found that ‘being,’ like all created things, is impermanent, made up of suffering arising out of craving. Our craving causes us to imagine impermanent objects as permanent whereas there is no such thing as permanent self. As fire appears to have continued existence although it changes from moment to moment, so does the self. Everything has a cause and everything becomes a cause. The illusion of continuity is caused by endless chain of cause and effect. The aim is to get out of this cosmic misery-go-round.

The Buddhist concept of nirvana is literally extinction of the flame of desire and thereby dissolution of the impermanent self. But what comes next? He never used any positive means of describing this ultimate, and emptiness is also a dependent concept meaning absence of divisive selves which owe their existence due to craving.

The Buddha categorically refused to pinpoint what exactly nirvana entailed or what happens to an enlightened soul after death. As it is impossible to conceive the concept of emptiness, the Buddha never attempted to explain it and left it open to interpretation. It has been explained that nirvana is extinguishing all objects and thoughts into one singular undivided consciousness underlying everything. That consciousness is undifferentiated, unqualified and one without a second. It is closer to the vedantic concept of Brahmn.

The greatest contribution of the Buddha lies in giving us a probing path without any fixed belief system associated with religions. Spirituality concerns direct experience of realisation over and above any belief system. Hence the Buddha steered a middle course between absolute denial and positive affirmation. He wanted us to develop absolute awareness of the entire cosmos and empathetic compassion for all sentient beings. The rest being silence, is required to be experienced in silence.

BAHAI FAITH

Baha'u'llah taught that humanity -- after a long and turbulent adolescence -- is now reaching a stage of maturity where unity can finally be established in a global and just society. His writings abound with eternal spiritual teachings and new social, administrative laws and principles that are essential for the establishment of unity and peace on earth.

The Baha'i faith brings social principles appropriate to the needs of a global society. Many of these principles, while considered radical in the time of Baha'u'llah, are now increasingly accepted by many people.

Baha’i principles include: gender equity, elimination of prejudice, adoption of an equal standard of human rights for all people, universal education for all, establishment of a world commonwealth of nations, harmony of science and religion as two complementary systems of knowledge and practice that must work together to advance humanity, spiritual solutions to economic problems and the removal of economic barriers and restrictions, abolition of extremes of poverty and wealth, adoption of a world auxiliary language, a world script, and a universal system of currency, weights and measures.

Freedom to believe or disbelieve is a fundamental Bahá'í principle, and the Bahá'í community has distinguished itself by the respect it has shown for the convictions of those who are not Bahá'ís. The innate and fundamental aspiration to investigate reality is the right and obligation of every human being. It is for this reason that the Baha'i teachings affirm that the "conscience of man is sacred and to be respected." Diversity of expression and creative give and take are essential aspects of Bahá'í community development. Without diversity, unity is impossible, only uniformity would result.

Baha'i teachings include laws for spiritual and moral life of the individual and for governance and development of society. Rather than seeing these laws as restrictive, the Bahá'ís view them as liberating. We believe they improve our lives and free us from many of the debilitating afflictions of our times. The laws for our personal lives include daily prayer, observance of an annual period of fasting, obedience to the law of the land and abstention from partisan politics. Other moral and ethical principles include prohibitions against backbiting, extramarital sex, gambling, and the non-medical use of alcohol and drugs.

Bahá'ís take their civic responsibilities seriously and uphold the authority of the government through loyalty and obedience to the laws of the land. Bahá'ís abstain from partisanship. They do not join political parties or factions, nor run for elected political office or accept political appointments. This is due to the cardinal belief in the vital need for unity in society. They believe that their best contribution to society can be made by working with others to help build a world that is just, peaceful and united.

The Bahá'í community does not seek to impose its values on others, nor does it pass judgment on others on the basis of its own moral standards. It does not see itself as one among competing social groups and organizations, each vying to establish its particular social agenda. In working for social justice in a non-adversarial manner, Bahá'ís endeavour to reconcile various viewpoints, raise questions that stimulate new avenues of inquiry, and offer ways of creatively reframing issues through the perspective of spiritual principles.

BLUE BUS TOUR

  1. Baba compared blue Bus with Krishna’s Chariot

Baba said, “Blue bus is like Krishna chariot and after my manifestation, people will consider it sacred.”

  1. Krishna’s Chariot

The Lord’s chariot, yoked with the horses named Saibya, Sugriva, Meghapuspa and Balahaka. Padma Purana describes Lord Krishna’s chariot horses: Saibya was green like a parrot’s wings, Sugriva yellow-gold, Meghapuspa the color of a cloud, and Balahaka whitish.”

After the war was over Sri Krishna asked Arjuna to take down the Gandiva and get off from the Chariot, as this is for his good only. Arjuna did as he was directed. After this lord Sri Krishna abandoned the reins of the steeds and dismounted himself from the chariot as well. After Sri Krishna had dismounted from that chariot, lord Hanuman that topped the mantle of Arjuna’s vehicle disappeared there and then. The top of the vehicle, which had before been burnt by Drona and Karna with their celestial weapons, the chariot with its quick pairs of steeds, yoke, and shaft, fell down, and reduced to ashes. Arjuna was amazed with this sight and with folded hands he asked Sri Krishna on why the chariot has been consumed by fire. Krishna said that the chariot was consumed by diverse kinds of weapons. It was because He had sat upon it during battle that it did not fall into pieces, previously consumed by the energy of brahmastra, it has been reduced to ashes upon His abandoning it.

  1. Preparation of Blue Bus

Preparations for the bus journey went on throughout the month of November 1938. Sarosh had had the body of the bus built in Bombay, according to Baba's precise specifications. Because it was painted blue, it became known as the Blue Bus. On 8th December 1938, Baba left Meherabad Hill in the Blue Bus with the following women

Preparations for the bus journey were going on throughout the month of November 1938. Sarosh had had the body of the bus built in Bombay, according to Baba's precise specifications. Because it was painted blue, it became known as the Blue Bus.

Baba instructed the women about the tour in detail. Rano was assigned the duty of packing and unpacking at every stop; Kitty was to keep food and refreshments ready. In this way, each had her own particular duties to attend to.

On 7 December, Baba approached Eruch, "Are you coming with us?" Eruch replied that it did not matter one way or the other to him. Baba spelled out, "Even to be indifferent is to keep something inside, and what is wanted is to be free of this 'something.' ”Come with me!"

That morning, Sarosh arrived with the bus and Padri drove it up the path to Meherabad Hill, and Eruch and Kaka loaded the baggage on top of it. There were so many packs of foodstuffs, cooking utensils, suitcases, bedding rolls, et cetera, that at one point Kaka, 48, fainted from exhaustion and fell down while heaving them on top of the bus. Eruch, who was 22 then and very strong, completed the task. When they were finished piling everything aboard, the bus had taken on quite a different appearance — similar to a gypsy caravan. (1938)

  1. Men & women associated with Blue Bus

Mehera, Mani, Naja, Khorshed, Soonamasi, Walu, Mansari, Gaimai, Manu, Meheru Jessawala, Kakubai, Elizabeth, Hedi, Helen,  Irene, Kitty, Nadine, Nonny, Norina, Rano, Thus, there were eleven Eastern women, nine Western women, two men mandali and Baba: a total of 23 persons. Elizabeth was the main driver.

  1. Places visited by Baba on Blue Bus

Meher Baba traveled with 23 men and women including Himself to contact purposefully masts in number of cities in India between years 1938 to 1941.

Meher Baba travelled Sholapur, New Delhi, Ajmer, Alwar, Jaipur, Jabalpur, Katni, Gersoppa, Karwar, Nagpur Meherabad, Bangalore, Hassan. Bangalore, Arsikere, Kandy, Calicut, Mannar, Ambala, Ludhiana Jullundur, Amritsar, Lahore, Multan, Quetta, Khar, Muzaffargarh and Dehradun

For their return journey to Meherabad, Baba sent for Sarosh to come to Dharwar and drive the Blue Bus to Ahmednagar. On 27th November 1941, Baba spelled out to Sarosh in front of Chanji, Nilu and Vishnu, “This is the last journey of the Blue Bus. You are very lucky to drive myself and the mandali in this bus on its last trip. You were the one who had it built and now it is you who are taking it on its final journey”.

  1. Lottery of Blue Bus

Baba said, after My manifestation, people will consider it sacred it is like Krishna Chariot. This bus should be sold in lottery among our close ones and winner should keep it on condition that he does not derive any commercial benefit from it either by keeping it on hire or by selling it. This bus has great importance and to be kept it preserved as essential. I have done much work through it and it is Sarosh’s good fortune to be driving God in person on its final run.

Nov., 1941, at Dharwar, Sunday, December 28th, had been fixed as the date for drawing the lottery for the Blue Bus. One hundred of Meher Baba’s followers and lovers had sent in their donations of fifty rupees each. On that day Baba indicated to the mandali, “The bus will go to one outside my circle who resides at a great distance from Meherabad.”

Baba drew the raffle Himself in the mast ashram at five o’clock that afternoon, and true to his words, Keki Desai of Delhi won it. Keki was informed, and he expressed his respect for Baba by giving the bus back to Baba from his heart. Baba accepted his gesture, and the bus stayed in Ahmednagar, where Sarosh had it overhauled.

  1. Repair of Blue Bus

On 22 June, 1949, Baba inspected the Blue Bus cabin, and gave detailed instructions for each man and woman at Meherazad during the period of His seclusion and Baba entered the Blue Bus to begin His 40-day seclusion. The Blue Bus had been placed directly under a neem tree. Baba remained in seclusion in the Blue Bus.

On 28 July 1950, the New Life caravan arrived in Ahmednagar from Dehra Dun. The New Life caravan, along with the Blue Bus, was a significant vehicle of Baba's travels during this advent, and they are preserved at Meherazad. Meheru had helped as cook during the Blue Bus travels.

In 1959, Francis told Baba that the Blue Bus and New Life Caravan were of historic interest. "People in the future will be interested in seeing them," he pointed out. Since they are deteriorating in the harsh Indian climate, they should be properly restored and preserved." Francis sought Baba's permission to carry out this work himself.

On 21 August 1959, Baba gave him permission, stating, "Start the repairs and take any help you require. Whatever material is not available here will be brought from the market." Baba sanctioned Rs.1, 000 for this work.

8.-Preservation & storage of Blue Bus

(The Blue Bus is now permanently grounded at Meherazad where Baba’s surgical bed, on which   He dropped His Body, is kept).

8-REAL SIGNIFICANCE OF BAKRID

Bakrid is marked festival of Mohammdan for Abhram sacrificing his Isaac at the orders of Prophet Mohammad. Abhram slaughtered his son which but it turned in sheep is the rare example of Obedience and detachment of worldly things on part of Abhram for his Master Mohammad. But the practice is still being continued by ignorant Mohammdans killing innocent goats (animal) and relish animal food for enjoyment only  which most undesirable and objectionable. This is a misconception among Mohammdans for which only every Mohammdan who follows are not responsible but Maulavi’s and Mulla’s are responsible for propagating the  same without real understanding.

Few episode this festival celebrated by Baba and His message are produced below.

On June 21th 1926, was the Muslim holiday of Bakri-Id, celebrated in memory of Abraham's offering of his son Isaac as a sacrifice to God.  The holiday was observed at Meherabad, and two of the Muslim mandali, Karim and Barsoap, were made to stand up and explain the significance of the holiday as best they could. Remarking about the Muslim custom of slaughtering a goat on this day, Baba conveyed, "They feel that if the Prophet killed a goat on this day, they should do it, too. They should try to kill their minds instead of goats! What is the use of slaughtering defenseless animals?"

Baba added, "If I ordered the mandali to wear hats and not to go out in the sun bare-headed, after some years it will be considered a religious practice to always wear a hat in the sun." (Lord Meher-pp-677-1926)

On 11th June 1927, the Muslim festival of Bakri Id was celebrated By Meher Baba. The school was closed for half a day, and at 3:00 P.M. Baba presented the Muslim students with new clothes. He distributed sweets to all the children. (Lord Meher-pp-823-1927)

GANESH CHATURTHI

Ganesh Chaturthi is a ten-day Hindu festival celebrated to honour the elephant-headed God Ganesha's birthday. He is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

There are two different versions about Ganesha's birth. One has it that Goddess Parvati created Ganesha out of dirt off her body while having a bath and set him to guard her door while she finishes her bath. Shiva who has gone out, returned at that time, but as Ganesha didn't know of him, stopped him from entering. An angry Shiva severed the head of Ganesha after a combat between the two. Parvati was enraged and Shiva promised Ganesha will live again. The devas who went in search of a head facing north of a dead person could manage only the head of an elephant. Shiva fixed the elephant's head on the child and brought him back to life.

Ganesha is honoured in the start of rituals and ceremonies as He is considered the God of beginnings. Episode related to this goes like:

In the beginning, a question was raised among the deities as who is to be revered first in all puja and religious act to remember God. All deities went to Brahma (creator of the universe). Brahma told that whosoever first completes the round of the earth, he will be considered worthy to be revered first in all religious activities. All deities riding on their vehicles started to take round of the earth.  Ganesh Ji (called Lambodar also) had heavy body and his vehicle was slow moving rat. All other deities had fast moving vehicles like birds, horses, elephants and chariots etc. How Ganesh Ji could compete in running with other deities?

Ganesh Ji consulted Narad Ji. On advice of Narad Ji, he wrote the word “Ram” (the name of the Lord) on the ground and took seven rounds of the word “Ram” on ground and reached Brahma Ji. Brahma Ji declared Ganesh Ji worthy to be revered first among all deities because the Ram name is also real form of Lord Ram present in every particle of the earth and the whole universe. By having round of Ram-nam, Ganesh Ji had completed the round of not only the earth but the whole universe.

There is another version also that Ganesha took round of His father Lord Shankar & Mother devi Parvati representing the whole universe  and reached Brahma who declared Him winner. Thus Ganesha established the supremacy of name of God or Avatar even personified or unpersonified.

According to Baba Ganesha is the first Avatar.

Baba has said, “Love God and become God. I am God and In order to love God, love Me.” I am your father and mother both”. If one loves or serves a Sadguru or Avatar one he is loving and serving the whole universe.  Avatar or Sadguru has universal body and mind and He is present in everyone living and nonliving bodies at all levels of consciousness.  Whole universe is embodied in His universal body which is His Virat Swarup which Krishna showed to Arjuna. Everything animate or inanimate in universe is manifestation of God. Therefore, anything can be accepted and revered as God in its finite form. Personified God in Human form (Avatar or Sadguru) is most easily and convincingly acceptable by human-kind. This is well accepted in our Hindu philosophy or religion.

4-BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY OF DR. B R. AMBEDKAR ON 14 APRIL 2016

(MEHER BABA’S ADVICE TO DR. AMBEDKAR ON UNTOUCHABILTY)
Dr. B R Ambedkar was a great scholar, eminent jurist, a well known politician of Gandhi era and Architect of the Indian Constitution. He was born in Mahar (Dalit) family on 14 April 1891 in Madhya Pradesh as 4th child of his parents. Ambedkar was a victim of caste discrimination from school days till employment as Defence e Secretary to King of Baroda. Last, in 1927 he was awarded a Doctorate by the University of Columbia.

After returning to India, Dr. Ambedkar decided to fight against the caste discrimination that almost fragmented the nation. Ambedkar opined that there should be separate electoral system for the untouchables and lower caste people. He also favored the concept of providing reservation for dalits and other religious communities.

Gandhi met Maher Baba and requested Him to guide untouchables coming to Baba; advice Dr. Ambedkar not to be vindictive, stop his campaign for the cause of the untouchables and not to excite the feelings of untouchables against the Hindus (Brahmins). Baba responded, "I have already advised these Untouchables and their leaders who came to me. I intend to advise them to fight for their rights non-violently”.

On 6th September, 1932, Baba met Dr. Ambedkar in Bombay. Baba said to him, First of all, let it be quite clear that I have nothing to do with politics. My concern in this matter is purely from the spiritual point of view, and out of my regard and feeling for the depressed classes. Apart from any politics, I have already done much for them during My time in Meherabad, where I made the high-class Brahmins live and eat in My ashram with Untouchables. Not only that, I made My Brahmin disciples bathe the untouchable boys. I bathed them Myself. I have the cause of the depressed classes at heart, and I quite understand and appreciate your efforts on their behalf.

"Now, the situation is such that the settlement of self-rule for India rests on the delicate question of joint or separate electorates for the depressed classes. I advise you, for reasons I am about to explain, to accept the joint electorate with a reservation of seats and other rights and details to be settled with Gandhi and other leaders. "Ambedkar replied that he would keep Baba's advice in mind, but that first he had to consult with his committee members and would let Baba know the results later.

Like Gandhi who failed to understand Baba’s advice for not imposing non-violence which is God ordained, Dr. Ambedkar also did not appreciate Baba’s advice of Joint electorate.

In 1936, DR. Ambedkar founded the Independent Labor Party. In the 1937 elections to the Central Legislative Assembly his party won 15 seats. Dr. Ambedkar oversaw the transformation of his political party into the All India Scheduled Castes Federation, although it performed poorly in the elections held in 1946 for the Constituent Assembly of India. Dr. Ambedkar objected to the decision of Congress and Mahatma Gandhi to call the untouchable community as Harijans. His reputation as a scholar led to his appointment as free India's first, Law Minister and chairman of the committee responsible to draft constitution

1950, Ambedkar traveled to Sri Lanka to attend a convention of Buddhist scholars and monks. After his return, fed up and frustrated with Hindus’ discrimination on untouchables he converted himself to Buddhism. In his speeches, Dr. Ambedkar lambasted on Hindu rituals and caste division. Dr. Ambedkar founded the Bharatiya Bauddha Mahasabha In 1955. His book "The Buddha and His Dhamma" was published. On October 14, 1956 DR. Ambedkar organized a public ceremony to convert around five lakh of his supporters into Buddhism. On 6 December, 1956 he died at his home in Delhi. He was awarded “Bharat Ratna” posthumously.

WORLD SUFI FORUM-CELEBRATED IN DELHI- (BETWEEN 19-3-2016-TO 22-9-2016

Dear delegates

I wish to introduce the name, Avatar Meher Baba a personality of Highest Sufi order, who declared Himself Avatar of the Age and identified Himself as same Ancient one As Lord Zoroaster, Rama Krishna, Buddha Christ and Mohammad and now He is Meher Baba

The Sufism order was established by founder Inayat Khan a saint of fifth plane. Later Rabia Martin was initiated by Inayat Khan as His successor. After passing of Rabia Martin, Murshida Ivy Duce succeeded as Chairperson of “Sufism Reoriented” in America.

American delegates might be aware of the names Meher Baba, since “Sufism reoriented” an American organization, a American spiritual order was created by Meher Baba in 1952 to help Western seekers who aspire to live the highest principles of divine love as the central focus of their lives.

Now, this order is both a school of inner development and a community of shared outer life and work, now guided by its spiritual director or Murshida, Dr. Carol Weyland Conner. The title of Murshida means “guide” or “teacher”. It denotes a level of spiritual insight and experience necessary to help students draw closer to God. The relationship of teacher and student is at the heart of the order’s life and work.

Murshida Ivy Duce was the ardent follower and accepted Meher Baba as Avatar though she not met Meher Baba in person. Meher Baba appointed Ivy O. Duce as the first Murshida (Teacher) of Sufism Reoriented. She had long correspondence through Secretary of Avatar Meher Baba because Meher Baba did not speak for long 44 years since 1925 till dropping His body in 1969.

Vilayat Khan, son of Inayat khan met Meher Baba in Meherabad (India). Extract of His conversation is produced as under:

Vilayat said, “I have come to Baba prompted by my Murshid to meditate on you in your physical presence.”

Meher Baba found Vilayat Khan of good heart, but his understanding was not deep, and he was not of the same spiritual status as his father (mental-conscious). Baba dictated the following six points for him to live by:

“Do not run away from your own lower self.

“Do not renounce the world; renounce your own lower self.

“Do not seek solitude anywhere but within your own self, because you are eternally all alone to your own Self.

“Silently cry out within your own self: ‘Beloved One, reveal yourself to me as my own, real, infinite Self.’

“It is you who are obstructing yourself from finding your Self. So try to lose your lower self by continual remembrance of God, Who is your real Self.

“Do not become Master of disciples until you have mastered your own self.”

In conclusion, Baba emphasized: “The only proper thing for a genuine seeker to do is to surrender completely to a Perfect Master. A life of obedience and surrenderance is the only solution when one is fortunate to have caught hold of the feet of a Perfect Master.

“Really speaking, love and devotion for Beloved God are all that are necessary on this path. Meditation is neither devotion nor love, but a mental pursuit in pinning down the object of one’s thoughts before one’s mind’s eye.”

Baba asked Vilayat, “Did you listen attentively to what I have told you?” Vilayat replied in the affirmative.

Baba then stated, “Because you have come all this distance to see me, I want you to do one very simple thing. Spare five minutes every night at twelve o’clock and meditate on Baba. Concentrate on my face.”

Vilayat said, “This would annoy my Murshid.”

Baba replied, “If your Murshid were a Perfect Master, he would never get annoyed. And if your Master were to be annoyed over this, he could never be a Murshid!

“When you say you were prompted by your Murshid to meditate on me in my physical presence, it is absurd to say that the Murshid would be annoyed if his mureed were to spare five minutes every night to meditate on me in my physical absence, particularly when I give such an instruction to one who has come all this distance to meditate on me.”

Baba ended by instructing Vilayat Khan, “Please yourself, but you should at least do one thing for me. You must read God Speaks from the first to the last page.”

Following is the brief of Rabia Martins’ Contact with Meher Baba

Rabia" Martin, 70, had been initiated into Sufism by Inayat Khan in 1911 and was later made head or Murshida of Sufism in America. She met Norina and Elizabeth in San Francisco in 1942

Rabia became convinced that Meher Baba was an extraordinary spiritual figure. She was profoundly affected by her internal experience of the Master and offered her Sufi retreat center in Fairfax near San Francisco for Baba's. Rabia Martin studied Baba's writings intensely and began a correspondence with him. She also grew closer to Norina and Elizabeth through repeated visits to New York City where their descriptions of life with Baba and his philosophy rapidly formed within her a central pillar of conviction of the importance of Baba as the key spiritual figure of our age

Over the next three years, In April 1945.  She stayed in New York and then Myrtle Beach until July. Rabia's inner experiences during those months confirmed her intuitive understanding that Baba was the living embodiment of Sufism and the divine incarnation of God — the Rasool or Avatar.

In May 1945, at Myrtle Beach, Rabia asked Baba by letter to accept herself as his student, and then on his acceptance, wrote further to ask him to take the responsibility for the spiritual guidance of the Sufi Order, which he accepted.

After receiving Baba's reply, in the autumn of 1945, Rabia Martin announced to her Sufi students that her work was now dedicated to Meher Baba. She then announced that a major meeting would be held at the Fairfax Sufi school property, at which her guests would address her Sufi Initiates, giving them the benefit of their close knowledge of and relationship with Meher Baba.

She Fairfax meeting was duly held, after which Rabia Martin advised her mureeds separately that she would give them two weeks to make their decision to follow their Murshida under Meher Baba's spiritual guidance, or to ask her to release them from their initiation vows in the Sufi Order. All of Rabia Martin's mureeds present at the Fairfax occasion reported their adherence to their Murshida in following her under the spiritual guidance of Meher Baba.

In the following months, she began to share her understanding of Meher Baba with her closest Sufi students, which included Ivy O. Duce, Don Stevens and Samuel Lewis.  During regular meetings involving her total membership from the San Francisco Bay Area, she utilized primarily for her presentations the small blue booklet titled The Divine Theme. She had one of the mureeds greatly enlarge the charts from this work, which she pinned to a movable board, and referred to it constantly as she lectured.

During this period, Rabia also moved to formalize her commitment to Baba by giving him all the material resources and possessions of her Sufi Order, which included her Sufi School at Fairfax. She dedicated everything she had to Baba, and wrote to him: "Feeling is living — I feel what you awaken and teach — so I must cry out and ask you to come and fill my heart and our hearts so full of love that only Love can remain."

Baba replied, through Adi Sr.: "Baba knows you. He knows how you feel. He knows how you aspire. He knows how you love. He knows what you desire. He sends his deepest love and blessings from his Infinite Heart."

After receiving Baba's reply, in the autumn of 1945, Rabia Martin announced to her Sufi students that her work was now dedicated to Meher Baba and that if they wished to remain in her Sufi group, their spiritual allegiance would need to be to him. Rabia declared that Baba's life, work and message were the essence of Sufism as it was to be lived now and in the future. She was totally dedicated to Meher Baba and fully accepted him as the Avatar, though she had not yet met him face-to-face.

An account of Ivy O. Duce and Charmian Sufism Reoriented meet with Avatar Meher Baba

On January 7th, 1948, Ivy Oneita Duce with her teenage daughter, Charmian, arrived in Pimpalgaon to meet Baba for the first time. Upon seeing Baba, Ivy wept and her first meeting led to a lifetime of surrender and service at her Beloved's feet. She later recalled:

Never had I seen such eyes before – I did not have any idea that such eyes could exist – and yet, here I was looking straight into them through a mist of tears. I scarcely noted that they were brown, very large, keenly intelligent, flashing, expressive, for they had another quality that intrigued and tantalized me as I sat before him. I kept trying to analyze it in the back of my mind while still striving to focus on a person who was going to mean, I hoped, the end of a long quest.

Meher Baba appointed Ivy O. Duce as the first Murshida (Teacher) of Sufism Reoriented.

On In late March, Meher Baba responded to a letter from Ivy Duce dated February 15th, 1948.

March 29th, 1948

Dear Mrs. Ivy Duce,

Hazrat Meher Baba wishes me to further emphasize that you should go on without hesitation and demur in furthering the cause of Sufism in the best manner you can.

Your contacts with Sufi leaders of South America and the followers of Mahboob Khan in the States and Europe are all left to your own initiative. The only thing that is expected of you is to uphold the highest traditions of spirituality, that is, Sufism pure and simple. You are not to compromise yourself with individual and local interests at any cost. Hazrat Meher Baba will be helping you internally and even your failures, on occasions beyond your control, will raise your stature, not only in your eyes but even with those whom you are working for.

It would intrigue you to note something new from me concerning professionalism in the domain of spirituality as practiced in India. The present upholders of the various schools of spirituality in India are all professionals who, beyond having deep learning of religious lore, have no tinge of spirituality about them. When people whose sole authority is derived from religious scriptures and also the heredity devolving on them from a spiritual Master no longer alive, they can never take upon themselves the responsibility of guiding others, much less claim the authority of conferring Khilafatship [Successor ship] on possible aspirants.

It can thus be seen that no certification from Hasan Nizami or any Chishti school from

Ajmer or elsewhere would go to help and uphold the prestige of Mahboob Khan or

Others like him. Even the certification of Khilafatship obtained by Murshida Rabia Martin from Hasan Nizami, copies of which you gave me while in India, is of no spiritual worth whatsoever. The spiritual worth of Rabia Martin consists in being appointed as Murshida by Hazrat Inayat Khan personally and directly. Hence the effort on the part of Rabia Martin to obtain a written investiture from Hasan Nizami was altogether superfluous and unnecessary.

For the continuance of the work of spiritually enlightened humanity, it is never imperatively essential to contact disembodied Masters, nor is it necessary to receive messages from departed souls. It is only living Masters actually working on the physical plane that sometimes communicate or send messages of guidance through and to suitable mediums.

The sending of messages even by living Masters is a rare phenomenon and very seldom resorted to, unless the urgency of the situation warrants it. The Masters who are out to guide humanity always do so by having recourse to ordinary and natural means of communication. When Masters in flesh avoid all occult methods of teaching and guiding humanity through appointed mediums, whatever may be their intrinsic worth, you can imagine how tall and presumptuous the claim of certain individuals can be when they talk of receiving messages from Masters, and that too from those who are no more on the physical plane of existence. You are therefore enjoined by Hazrat Meher Baba to remember that nobody should succeed in impressing or overawing you by such claims as having the capability of receiving messages from Masters, living or dead.

Hazrat Meher Baba has once again taken this opportunity of reiterating the advice given to you while here in India:

"You should openly declare that you are a student of spirituality. You are not God-realized and that you are aspiring for that blessedness with the help and grace of a Master who is alive and active in the affairs of the world today. Since the responsibility – not of your seeking – of supervising    the Sufi movement has devolved on you through Murshida Rabia Martin, you would do your best to shoulder the Cross, knowing fully well your shortcomings and weaknesses. While trying to help and teach others in the Sufi way, you are alive to the fact that you yourself are growing and learning. The result of your work when conducted in this spirit should be left entirely in the hands of Baba."

Hazrat Meher Baba is gratified to note that you are trying to introduce him as the Avatar and Qutub of the Sufis in the world around you, and that you are working there under his benign guidance and direction. If you keep up to this noncommittal and detached modus operandi, without prevarication and the least signs of hesitation and doubts, it will be up to Hazrat Baba to give you strength and added zeal in the execution of your work. So far as things go, it may be adduced that if Baba is looked up to as the only source of inspiration and guidance, then whatever obstacles, difficulties and disappointments that you will have to face for his sake, you can be sure, he will never let you down.

With regard to papers and additional lessons and instructions for Sufi students, you would do well to introduce Hazrat Meher Baba's Discourses for developing the Irfan (Gnosis) of aspirants. On the practical side of spiritual life, the chapter in the Discourses, Part III, would go a long way in helping Sufi initiates in the matter of Meditation practices over and above the papers that you already possess. The reading of Baba's Discourses would automatically develop gnosis of the Path for spiritual aspirants and in the light of this gnosis, all practices or papers undertaken would make the task divinely interesting and spiritually intelligent.

Hazrat Meher Baba is not unmindful of the need to send out to the West an authorized guide and teacher from among his trained disciples, and he will do so at his own proper time. In the meanwhile, you should continue contacts on your side of the world – in Arizona, Brazil, Australia and elsewhere. If aspirants from such far-flung places feel like having more information on Sufistic way of life, they should be asked to get in touch with Hazrat Baba, who would see to it that their difficulties are solved and mental obstacles removed.

You already know that Sufism, Vedanta and Christian mysticism are one and the same in the matter of dealing with the esoteric side of life. The only difficulty with sincere aspirants is to contact the right type of teacher. For people who are keen on furthering their spiritual way of life by means of the Sufi cult and the Sufi teaching, they should have no hesitation to refer their difficulties to Hazrat Baba who would solve their difficulties for them in the manner they would most welcome.

With Love and Blessings from the Master for you and Charmian.

I remain,

Yours in Baba,

(Dr.) Abdul Ghani Munsiff

Let me read brief biography, proclamation of Avatar Meher Baba and What is He said on world peace and His directives.

Biography

Meher Baba is a contemporary personality who publically declared Himself as “Avatar of the Age” in 1954. Meherwan Sheriar Irani, later called as Meher Baba by His followers was born in Poona (now Pune) in India on Feb, 25, 1894 to a Persian parents. In 1913 when He was returning home from college on bicycle, Hazrat Babajan, a lady Perfect Master of that time kissed on forehead of Meher Baba, thereby bestowed Him instant God realization and made Him aware of His highest spiritual destiny.

Afterwards, in year 1914, Meher Baba was drawn to other four Perfect Masters of the time namely Upasni Maharaj of Sakori, Sai Baba of Shirdi, Tajuddin Baba of Nagpur and Narain Maharaj of Kedgaon. Upasni Maharaj made him to regain His body consciousness. Meher Baba attained spiritual perfection in 1921.  Sai Baba of Shirdi and Meher Baba prostrated to each other, Sai Baba exclaiming “Parvardigar” (God Almighty, incarnation of Lord Vishnu). Upasni Maharaj said “Meherwan, You are the Avatar and I salute you”. Narayan Maharaj garlanded Meher baba and made Him sit on his throne, later telling people “He is perfect man”. Tajuddin Baba caressed Meherwan’s cheeks with roses, calling him “My rose, my heavenly rose”.

Meher Baba’s Avataric activities

First phase of His spiritual mission started in 1921, when He drew His close disciples who gave Him the name “Meher Baba” meaning “Compassionate Father”. After years of intensive training of disciples, in 1923, He established a colony called Meherabad near Ahmednagar in Maharashtra. Master’s work embraced opening of free school, dispensary and shelters for poor, mast ashram, bathing, clothing and washing feet of lepers and destitute. He demonstrated the real selfless service with the motto of Mastery in Servitude".

Second aspect of His Avataric activity was His divine silence. Meher Baba observed silence from July 10, 1925 and continued for 44 years till dropping His body in Jan 1969. First, He used an alphabet board to communicate, later He communicated through gestures and an interpreter. He carried out all His activities of selfless service, spiritual discourses, and messages and dictated the book "God Speaks” through alphabet board in silence. This book reveals the mysteries of universe as how it came into existence and experiences of journey from God to man (evolution) and man to God (involution). His silence is unparallel and divine. He said “This is my silent advent (Mauna Avatar). I have spoken lot in my previous forms and rendered Zend-Avesta, Gita, Bible and Quran. In this age of publicity and propaganda, I shall work through silence. I have come not to teach but to awaken”.

Third and Important work of His Avataric mission was to contact God intoxicated souls called Masts who deserved His contact. Meher Baba contacted such souls in person, gave them spiritual push and advanced them in their spiritual journey. For this work, Meher baba travelled 75,000 miles to remote places throughout India, Ceylon and Pakistan and contacted over 20,000 advanced souls individually. A chronological account of these Masts (spiritually advanced souls) to whom Meher Baba contacted, their features, their response to Meher Baba with date and place of contact is given in the book titled “Wayfarers" (Pathik). This is the most authentic account of Meher Baba’s work with masts. Meher baba said “I have not come for the crowd but for those few ones who are lost in the crowd”.

Other aspects of Meher Baba’s Avataric activity were demonstration of living a life of a spiritual aspirant with all helplessness and hopelessness i.e. living on total surrenderance to God. This period was named as "New Life" which was lived by Meher Baba and His selected disciples with all humility and weakness in search of God from 1949 to 1952. He practically begged for alms for His disciples and lived in total surrenderance to God.

Avatar Meher Baba undertook universal suffering that an Avatar undergoes voluntarily. Meher Baba was involved in two car accidents without break in His silence. One accident occurred near Prague (Oklahoma, USA) in May, 1952. The other took at Satara (India) in December, 1956. In the first, Baba’s left side was damaged from head to foot. In the second Baba’s right side was badly damaged. Meher Baba said “Ordinary man suffers for himself, Perfect Master (Sadguru) suffers for humanity whereas, the Avatar suffers for one and all beings.

Meher Baba travelled to western world thirteen times. His first visit was in 1931, and last in 1958 when He and His disciples stayed at the center, established for His work at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in USA.

Meher Baba’s Philosophy

According to Meher Baba- “Aim of life is to love God and goal of life is to become God. There is no creature that is not destined for supreme goal, just as there is no river which is not winding its way to sea”.

Every soul is consciously or unconsciously traversing spiritual journey and heading toward God-realization. May it take millions of births to achieve this Goal?

Meher Baba said every soul is trying to find the answer of one original question as “Who AM I” and ultimately gets one final answer to this question as "I AM GOD”. Every soul is destined for the God realization. In fact whole world is a big dream. As a man we are waking but as God we are dreaming. According to destiny, at appropriate time one starts self introspection or develops intuition to tread upon spiritual path of self realization by himself or coming into contact of a saint, guru, Sadguru or Avatar. Meher Baba said “Love God and become God. In order to love God love Me. I am the God personified”.

Meher Baba said “Miracles are small illusions in the great illusion called the world”. Performing miracles to attract others for own following is no proof of one’s high spiritual status but his distraction from the spiritual path.

Meher Baba does not advocate any rites or rituals unless it is done with pure heart and all sincerity.  Baba said “I belong to no religion but all religions belong to Me”. Love is only path which Meher Baba professed in this Avatarhood. He does not endorse any kind of meditation, yoga renunciation and austerities for his lovers. Try to remember Me constantly. Come all unto Me. be resigned to my will and hold fast to My Daman”

According to Meher Baba, reading and writing is less important from spiritual point of view. These can lead an intellectual to the threshold of spirituality. But to tread upon the spiritual path, remembrance, love, obedience and surrender to Avatar or living Sadguru has real meaning.

Meher Baba’s on War and World Peace

Meher Baba said war is a necessary evil. Natural calamity, disasters, war and epidemic etc are God ordained beyond control of human and we as individual or as society can do our best to meet the situation and hope for the best results.

Meher Baba had predicted the world war On Monday, 3 June 1940, Baba remarked

“This two-month special seclusion is for my special Universal work, particularly to speed things up regarding the war. After the stirring-up during the seclusion period, unusually startling changes will take place in the war situation. One after the other, 32 nations in all will eventually be involved, including Italy and America. Situations will be so grave they will verge on breathlessness! All of a sudden, unexpected developments will take place which will be the turning points. Those who had the upper hand will be eventually subdued and thrown off, and others, who had been strangled and made to suffer in breathless suspense all these months, along with millions of others in the world, will breathe a sigh of relief!

During these ten days of my seclusion, I shall decide definitely the length of time this war will last, and exactly when it will end. There must be a real world war in which India will be involved 100 percent, and places under Mohammedan rule, such as Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Egypt, and so forth, will also be entrapped in it, while Italy, Russia and America will play very active parts.

When truly understood, all conflicts and wars are seen to be a part of the divine game; they are thus a result of the Divine Will which finds expression in the world of manifestation, through the help of maya or the cosmic power which creates and sustains the illusory world of duality. The purpose served by maya in the divine game is twofold: First, it can be instrumental in entrapping the soul in the mazes of illusion, and second it can also be instrumental in freeing the soul from the clutches of spiritual ignorance and bondage. Maya should not be ignored; it must be handled with detachment and understanding. Wars are the working of maya; they would be spiritually disastrous or otherwise, according to whether they are inspired by attachment or detachment for the creations of maya.

Although it seems difficult, humanity has to emerge out of this dreadful war with unimpaired spiritual integrity, with hearts free from the poison of malice or revenge, with minds disburdened of the blows given or received, with souls unscathed by suffering and filled with the spirit of unconditional surrenderance to the divine will which shall ensoul and inspire post-war humanity. In spite of its attendant evils, this war shall play its part in my mission of helping humanity to fulfill the Divine Plan on earth and to inherit the coming Era of Truth and Love, of Peace and Universal Brotherhood, of Spiritual Understanding and Unbounded Creativity.

Apropos of numerous inquiries from my followers, seeking guidance and instructions in the eventuality of the war directly and palpably affecting India, I have to call upon all concerned to go about their routine avocations, duties, and responsibilities, in a spirit of detachment, love, charity and hope, and to observe the following instructions meant for the category in which they are placed.

Baba gave following directions to His disciples which applies to all delegates and general masses.

  1. They should be above party politics and should bear malice and ill-will toward none.
  2. They should observe all the precautionary measures of war for civil population enforced by the Government of the day.
  3. They should continue as usual discharging their special duties and work for my Spiritual Cause unless otherwise directed by me.
  4. They should stick to their post and appointments anywhere in India, under any trying circumstances, unless ordered by the Government to evacuate under emergency regulations.
  5. They may undertake humanitarian and relief work of a non-sectarian character, without identifying themselves with any party or political organization working in that direction, and strictly within the scope of time and leisure left over after the performance of spiritual duties enjoined by me.
  6. They should extend spiritual solace and comfort to the people within the area of their contacts and influence with a view to counteracting the panicky state of their mind.
  7. Exceptional cases and circumstances, requiring readjustment of routine lives may be communicated to me.

YOGA, IS MEANT FOR PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL WELLBING BUT HELP OF AVATAR OR SADGURU IS MUST  TO ATTAIN GOD REALISATION-AVATAR MEHER BABA

Definition and different kind of Yoga

Yoga means annihilation of the Ego by control of senses. Yoga implies separateness.

Yoga means poised and balanced so that success or failure does not upset you in the least. You are your own curtain and only when ‘You go’ can you come. The only solution is Love.

If you seek to live perpetually, then crave for the death of your deceptive Self at the hands of complete surrender to the Master. This yoga is the essence of all yogas

Shri Aurobindo, Previously, was a political leader like Gandhi. Aurobindo was experiencing the effulgence of God everywhere, and this state was just like that of a 'fish out of water.' A state of great longing, rather, infinite longing for the union with God, Ultimately, My grace fell on him, and he became One with God.

Biography of Avatar Meher Baba

Avatar Meher Baba (1894-1969) declared Himself as Avatar of the age, He was Zoroaster, Ram, Krishna, Buddha, Christ, Mohammad and now he is Meher Baba. He was recognized as Avatar, by five Sadgurus of time, Hazrat, Babajan, Sai Baba, and Upasani Maharaj & Narayan Maharaj. He remained Silence for 44 years till dropping His body; He contacted about 20000 advance (God-intoxicated) souls in remote places and gave them spiritual push. He demonstrated His motto of “Mastery of servitude” by helping and washing, bathing clothing poor and lepers by his own hand and took over suffering of universe. Book, “God Speaks” dictated By Him in silence reveals the mystery of Universes (Journey from God to Man and man to God)

Meher Baba’s directives

Do not shirk your responsibilities. Attend faithfully to your worldly duties, but keep always at the back of your mind that all this is Baba's.
